Most of the time when you hear people talking about solar power homes or using wind energy, they are pitching the whole "save the planet" angle. Well, for me the reason I have started converting to renewable energy is to save money. One of the easiest ways I see to do this is put a little bit of elbow grease into setting up my own power system and stop paying the electric company so much.
