A sharp increase on electricity demand is almost always brought about by an increase in the world's population. Together with food, water, and shelter, electricity has become a commodity we can not afford to live without. Fossil fuels such as coal and oil have long been the primary resources of electricity created with power plant type generators. Our awareness has now been expanded. We've realized that oil and coal (and other fossil fuels) are not without limit.
